Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Went up Stevens which felt like the first real day of spring. Left at 8:30 knowing it was going to be a warm day. My goal was to ski the S ridgeline and reach it before too much warming occured. I got to the summit at around 10 am after a bulletproof sketchy skin up. There was a midly cold e wind that kept all aspects in early morning pretty solid. Instead of waiting in the cold wind, I decided to ski a line off the s ridge gully and reevaluate my day from there. After a horrific first line, and the sun getting higher, decided to go up for a second lap. At around 11 I reached the top of the ridge again and this time the snow was growing about a half inch of (it wanted to be) corn. It was such a fun lap I did a third and I was stoked on how much the snow softened up. Spring felt like it was here! No signs of instability or windloading whatsover.
