Snowpit from Tamarack

We dug a partial snow pit to 110 cm at 1045 am. Total snow height at this location was 230 cm. Pit was on a 42° aspect, at 9,856 ft and on a 26° slope just to the NE of Tamarack Peak. Cold and mostly clear conditions the night before led to 1.5 mm surface hoar. Stability tests resulted in CT20 SP and ECTN30, both at 25 cm down. 

There were a lot of groups cycling on and off the summit in the hour we were digging around. During this time we watched numerous people skiing the N-NE slopes at the same time, please always be obsessed with consequences and only expose one person at a time to avalanche terrain.
