Reactive PWL on Tamarack Peak

We toured to the saddle between Fireplug and Tamarack today to look at the storm and ski some low angle snow. Winds were fierce, with strong winds even lower down in the trees. There was precipitation the entire time, though with strong winds it was tough to determine exactly how much fell. At times, snow changed over to rain. New snow amounts appeared to be around 10 cm as of noon.

As seen in video, there is a fragile storm slab in the new snow, which released upon clearing out the back of a column. We found a failure of ECT23 on the Dec  26 facet layer, and older facets could be felt most of the way to the ground.
