Minimal new snow at Meiss

Only a trace of new snow fell today at Meiss, and though winds were strong there wasn't much snow available for transport and no new wind slab instabilities were observed prior to our departure at 4pm. Windward slopes were scoured and firm. Probing indicated that Dec 11th facets were still weak here, and two ECTs propagated at this layer. One ECTP at approximately 8600ft and the other at approximately 8800ft, both on E aspects.

Pic 1: Low clouds over Round Top, and shortly after taking this photo it began snowing at Meiss. Snow showers and cloud cover were intermittent throughout the day.
