Avalanche Galena Peak

This narrow 45 degree chute released below me after four turns. Although not terribly destructive it could have knocked someone down had they been below. I had been skiing between 9,000 and 10,000 ft earlier in the morning in drier snow without incident. This area is between 8,000 and 9,000 ft and was noticeably more dense. I was virtually alone out there. There are still a lot of clean lines to be had and I suspect this weekend they will get done. Careful out there.
