Facets gained strength above Horse Meadow

We went to Horse Meadow AKA Willow Creek today, and found good unconsolidated riding conditions in the N facing trees. This was very aspect and slope angle dependent - anything slightly W facing or low angle had a crust that varied in thickness and strength. E facing was slightly more forgiving than W.  The day began sunny and warm, but clouds built and temps cooled off. A few snow showers were observed but not enough to accumulate. Winds were calm even at our high point along a ridge at 9800ft.

I was in this same area on March 16th, and got consistently propagating ECTs on a faceted layer. Today, the facets appeared to have gained strength, no ECTs propagated, and no signs of instability were observed.
