Facets in Powderhouse NE bowl

We toured Powderhouse Sunday 3/8/21. On our second lap we took a quick look at the NE bowl. Recent wind drifted snow was 16" to 36" deep in the skier's left entry to the bowl. A ski cut adjacent to obvious start zones did not produce any cracking. Results of a hand shear are pictured. Hand shear showed roughly 16" of wind drifted, ~3f snow , on a suspected rain crust (1-2 mm facets). below the crust were several inches of sugary 1mm facets.
