Wind-Loading on Rose

We toured up the Rose shoulder and crossed a NE aspect at 8,500ft (08:00 at the time) where we were able to propagate small wind slabs with our skis and mitt pits yielded the same results. We continued our tour up to 9,400ft and noticed that this trend continued but was isolated to open slopes, and below ridelines on NE aspects.   Otherwise, conditions seemed stable on all other aspects, especially in tree covered areas. There was also a noticable sun crust on south and east facing aspects at lower elevations below 8,200ft.
