Surface hoar growing

Group of 5 snowmobiles rode from parking lot to the first meadows. Rode the trees up into Polaris bowl. 

Throughout zones a foot + of very dry light fun snow with a bit of a hard punchy layer down about 2 feet down. Lower layer was slick in places. Excellent snowmobile snow this long after storm. 

Majority of protected areas had large surface hoar growth. I found some higher up above 9000 feet on a slope that was sheltered. 

Great days for riding, didn't see any recent signs of instability. Lots of crowns from storm in the big bowls.
