Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Pit results from a Northeast facing slope at about 9700', in Upper Fulstone Canyon, accessed through a backcountry gate at Heavenly. Similar snowpack structure as found elsewhere throughout the range. Very strong snowpack above facets at base. Total HS of 150 cm, ranging up to 170 cm in places. Deep tap test and propagation saw test showed some propagation potential, but as expected, no propagation in an ECT.
