beautiful day on the west shore

trace amounts at lake level with upwards of 12" above 8000'; dense and supportable; never skied deeper than 4"
snow stayed cold and dry throughout the day; snow surface froze up good below the new snow; stable conditions with loose dry sluffs on steep aspects

only one avalanche noted in Desolation on Dick's NE Face

assumed natural during the rain that went down to the ground with significant soil and rocks in the debris.
