Strong North-East winds on Becker Peak.

 I toured out towards Becker peak today, at the beginning of the trailhead there was approximately 2-3 inches of new snow in this area from Monday/Tuesday's storm. The new snow is light and low density, but only in shaded areas; otherwise, most new snow was already wet and cohesive below tree line. As I climbed up and reached  the ridgeline, a chilly strong sustained NE wind was present the rest of the way up. I did observe some turbulent snow from the heavy winds but most was sublimated back into the air. The recent winds have scoured the new snow off the ridgelines and summit leaving old tree debris and the Jan. rain crust exposed. There was also evidence of wind loaded snow on on leeward aspects S-SW aspects near tree line from the last storm. On average snow drifts were about 12 inches deep and had a ~5cm of warm 1F dense snow above 4F soft snow within it. I performed a shovel shear test within a hasty pit I dug. There was no results as the weaker snow broke apart. Snow on solar aspects was wet and cohesive, smaller steeper slopes displayed snow was clumping up and sliding on the variable bed surface below it. No other instabilities were observed.
