Sunny, cool, and windy at Spooner

Cool and breezy from Spooner to Genoa Peak, with a dusting of new snow being moved by the E winds. Not enough wind transport for me to find signs of instability - just a few inches in drifts along the ridge.

Pic 1: Looking south, including Desolation and Jobs/Jobs Sister/Freel.

Pic 2: Still plenty of snow for off-piste riding with caution around buried obstacles (130cm here). This pic is from 8200ft on a wind sheltered NE aspect. Facets were quite weak but there was not enough strong snow on top of them to cause concern.

Pic 3: 2mm very weak facets. These would normally be concerning but today just made for good riding.
