Daily Observations Blue Lakes/Hope Valley

Variable depth of fresh snow from evening of 3/4 (depending on elevation) - approximately 6" at higher elevations. Weather was variable throughout the day with moderate winds throughout. Mostly overcast with some scattered snow showers - cool temperatures all day. Wind carrying snow, especially in the afternoon.

Small wind slab avalanche triggered on test slope with two passes on the snowmobile (in matching terrain to forecasted problems). See pictures.

Multiple ECTs where we found buried facets, and only one propagated.
