Summit City Observation

We toured between Roundtop and Kirkwood today. Surface condtions were firm and required ski crampons on north facing terrain near ridges before 10:00AM but south facing terrain was softening nicely by that time. We found excellent corn on south facing slopes. Surface snow near ridges remained fairly firm and north facing slopes near 10,000 feet did not soften as of 1:00PM. There was ample evidence of large previous wet slides but we did not observe any wet loose activity.
