Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions: 

No avalanche activity observed but visibility was poor for most of the day 

Minimal signs of instability on Jan 29th layer using formal tests. Cracking within wind loaded snow on test slopes.

8-12" of new snow on sheltered terrain, with winds blowing from the NE and deeper snow in wind loaded areas.

Cold temps but the skies did clear around 16:00.
