Light Dusting of Snow On Incline Lake Peak

Toured in the Incline Lake Peak area today.  Clear and sunny skies this morning changed quickly to full cloud cover by 11am.  Very light snow started around this time with little in the way of accumulation.  There was a brief break midday with some partial sun and then full cloud cover returned with some light snow flurries.  Maybe a total of a half inch of new snow fell in this location today.  Winds were W-NW and remained mostly in the low to moderate range with well below freezing temperatures.  Blowing snow was also limited along the upper ridges and peaks in this area up to a high point of 9773'.  Soft unconsolidated snow existed on steeper northerly aspects in wind protected below treeline areas.  Wind scoured snow and firm wind board exists in most near and above treeline areas with firm crusts on the more E-SE aspects.
