Obs from Jobs Peak

- Taking advantage of the high pressure and low hazard I chose to do day tour on South Jobs via Fay Luther Canyon. 

- With a minor overnight re-freeze and strong daytime warming the snow suface heated up quick. There were a handful of small (less than D1) loose wet avalanches and lots of point releases from rock bands. 

- North facing terrian in this zone is still holding cold snow, east were transitional, souths were melt-freeze (even up to 10500k). Overall quality of riding was good and coverage is above average for this zone. 

- Noteworthy old avalanche: Very large old debris were in bottom of main path from south jobs. Most likley ran during an event in January sometime. This path had debris all the way down to 6800ft, Start zone is at 10400! One could assume the size of the avalanche was a D3-D4. There was plenty of trees removed and bent over at bottom of path. As well as snow that had channeled and scored the sides of the gully features. 

- If your looking to ski this zone, Trailhead access is holding on by a thread right now if you dont want to walk on dirt. Follow summer trails, it has almost continuous snow cover even down at 4800k.
