Horse Meadow

We rode the Willow Creek zone to Horse Meadow and found great snow on all aspects. It was snowing almost the entire time we rode with a few breaks in the clouds and some snips of blue poked through. We did feel a wind packed layer about 1ft - 2ft down from the surface snow with our tracks. The snow below this layer of wind packed snow had more of an "upside down" feeling to it and was less supportive. Snow beneath the crust layer seen in the first photo was larger grains and unsupportive.
