Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions: 

Between the morning of 1/17 and the morning of 1/18, surface hoar formed broadly across the Field of Dreams away from tree cover. I did not go into the "bloody knuckles" zone nearby, but if surface hoar formed there - probable given the similarity in elevation and aspect - I would be concerned about fresh loading on top of it.
