Wind Loading- Mt. Rose, NE Face

I unintentionally triggered an avalanche while traversing a ~35 degree slope on the NE aspect off of Mt. Rose. It was a sunny day with moderate winds above treeline. I was trying to traverse low-angle terrain to reach the east glades but went too low and ended up on a recently wind-loaded slope. The avalanche propagated approximately 150 feet horizontally with a crown of approximately 1 foot, and traveled roughly 200 feet, where the slope angle lessened. I retreated ~30 feet, where my partners were standing in a sheltered area, and we began reversing the way we came. As we were putting our skins back on, a solo skier dropped onto the slope and triggered a similarly sized avalanche. Together we all went back to the ridge and accessed the east glades via low-angle terrain. No instability or wind loading was noted near/below treeline on this Eastern aspect.
