Limited signs of instability in Mt. Rose area

Skied off the north sides of Mt. Rose and Chocolate Peak today. Toured up from the typical Tamarack parking lot and noted no signs of instability on the ascent. For the majority of the ascent, skies were clear, and temps were warm. Snow on south aspects was starting to moisten even up to 10,500' with small rollerballs. At the summit of Rose, a brisk SW wind was blowing, cooling things off significantly, and was actively transporting snow. Looking out over the entire area, there were tracks absolutely everywhere, including the usual snowmachine traffic, and almost no avalanche evidence, with the exception of some wet-loose activity, off the rocks, in the steep terrain on the far eastern end of Mt. Houghton's summit plateau.There was also what looked to be an older wind slab crown in the same area that had been filled back in. Otherwise, there were no visible crowns or debris piles anywhere. There was signifcant cornice development on most of the ridgelines. There were also no signs of instability on our descent. By the afternoon, below about 7500', the snow was starting to become quite dense on all aspects, and below 6500', it was very sticky. On the drive back up, someone had put tracks into Fireplug without incident, but there was a crown on a different slope above the road, just below the summit parking lot.
