Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions: 

On a tour of Stevens Peak today we found broken to overcast skies and calm winds at 9:00 AM . The HST on top of the crust layer from 2/21 was aprox 120 cm. There was a 2 cm to 3 cm crust below 8000'. At 10:30 AM winds increase rapidly to intense and blowing snow was quickly developing slabs on lee aspects. On a small test slope slabs 6" deep were cracking and propatating by 11:00 AM.
