I do not know all the details of this slide.

My regular partner was skiing solo and was crossing one of the upper gullys and broke out above him quite a ways. He said he slid 1000 feet and lost both skis and it tore his avalung from his pack, broke 1 boot. 

Complete burial and self extrication taking 15 minutes. Boot packed out through  powerline . He' s being checked for injuries but other wise ok. If this was/is observed there are no buried people now.

From the forecasters:

We went to look at this slide on 1-27-2010. The starting zone was at 10,170'. The end of the debris was at 9500'. The slide started on a cross-loaded SE aspect. The skier triggered the slide by skinning out into the starting zone. We did 2 ECT tests near the crown and got no results on both tests. See attached video for more info.
