More detailed information about the avalanche: 

1st skier on slope placed a ski cut from right to left on the obvious wind loaded feature right off the ridge top.

Slope propogated left to right, skier was able to exit slab to safe zone on left. 2nd skier descended bed surface, which was soft, powder skiing.  As 2nd skier passed 1st at safe zone going towards lower safe zone large settlements were heard.
