Slide was released on a test control turn and was intentional. Length of run was impressive given the intial depth was only 5 or 6 inches. As slide decended it gained speed, debris and was at much greater depth when down in the 7000 foot range where the snow surface had heated more during the day and sported a more robust rain crust from late last week
