More detailed information about the avalanche:

Unintentionally triggered a wind slab on my first turn off the NE side of the Angora peak trees. Dropped before the rocks that make up the far skiers right side of the ridge and an open space in the trees.  D1 with a 6-8 inch crown. 15-20 feet wide. Surface snow ran roughly 100 vertical feet. I was able to ski off of the moving snow fairly quickly with no consequence. A mistake and eye opening none the less.
