We saw numerous small slides below the cornices on our tour out to Benson Hut on Saturday morning. They appeared to have happened naturally during the storm. In at least one location, the failure occurred within the storm snow, above the old crusty snow. A small cornice drop on an adjacent slope produced an unreactive result.
