Widespread whumpfing triggered below treeline below 7,400'. New snow and wind loading were the only obvious signs of instability observed near treeline 7,800' to 8,000 zone'. Continued concern that weak layers near the base of the snowpack will become overwhelmed by significant new snow loads late this afternoon and tonight.
