More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Some wind features and erosion visible from the east wind in the trees. There is a thin rain crust all the way up to 9200'. From 8000' down this crust can support a skier. Above 8000' it is more of a thin breakable crust. The surface snow is starting to facet. In the sheltered trees 6-8 inches of unconsolidated snow remains on the surface.
