Melt freeze surface crust remained frozen on all aspects above 7,600' at 1pm. Surface crust melting and providing good conditions for recreation below 7,600'. Strong south winds and 8,000' air temps at low end of forecast range keeping the snow surface frozen in most areas. New snowfall associated with approaching storm expected to fall mainly on a frozen crust in avalanche start zones.
