More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Wind slab exists above and below treeline. In near and above treeline areas, the slab is more highly developed. Evidence of instability was only observed near and above treeline. No evidence of below treeline instability in this area. A very low density layer of snow is sandwiched between the higher density wind affected surface snow and the high density bed surface snow from Dec 19.
