LTCC AIARE L2 tests on steep, open N facing slope at 7500ft:

Several small column tests (shovel shear, shovel tilt, compression) showed consistent, moderate to hard Q2 fractures on a density change below F hard newer snow at ~20cm.

Several large column tests (ECTs, PSTs and 1 Rutschblock) showed no propagation propensity.

Yesterday's surface graupel layer was mixed with a trace of new stellars, and showed signs of rounding early in the day. By mid-day the surface warmed to a 1cm wet layer even on open, North facing slopes.
