Heavy, unconsolidated snow on the surface on most northerly aspects above 9000'. Thin (.5-1cm) breakablecrust up to 9300 even on shaded northerly aspects. Thicker sun crust on E-SE-S-SW-W aspects. Sun exposed surfaces softened during the day.
