More detailed information about the snowpack:

A sometimes breakable, sometimes supportable melt-freeze crust existed on the northerly aspects up to 9400'. Below this crust soft, well-consolidated snow existed. On the exposed northerly aspects near the ridgelines a mix of wind scoured and wind packed surfaces existed on the surface. A frozen melt freeze crust existed on the southerly aspects. By 1 pm enough about 1 inch of soft corn snow existed on the southerly aspects below 9000'.
