Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

30 cm of light snow on the surface in most areas. This cold low density snow remained soft and lacked signifigant cohesion on the shaded slopes and on the northerly aspects. As soon as the sun hit the other aspects the snow started to get wet, heavy and sticky. Several natural loose snow avalanches occurred yesterday and at least one today in response to a natural cornice failure (around 12:15 PM).  Some skier triggerred sluffs occurred on N-NE facing 40 degree test slopes around 7500'. These sluffs entrained the last night's new snow. Yesterday's heavier snow remained bonded to the rain crust below.
