Photo: Wind transport of snow under moderate east winds along the ridge just north of Castle Pass at 7,900'.

 

Aside from blowing snow, no other evidence of instability was observed while on tour. Minor surface wind slab and rounding basal facet layer at pit location at treeline at lat/long noted on map.
