A faceted but supportable snowpack exists on northerly aspects in this area. In areas where this season's snow sits on top of ice held over from last winter, the bond at that interface remains strong despite ongoing faceting. There is a bit of a slab over basal facets in this area in general, but it remains stable at this time.
