More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Continued faceting is at work in this area. The slab of storm snow that was deposited in this area on Nov 18-19 has weakened to the point that it will no longer sustain propagation. The entire snowpack is faceted to varying degrees. The rain crust that formed on Thanksgiving Day has broken down through faceting on heavily/fully shaded northerly aspects below treeline in this area.
