Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Lots of skier and snowmobile activity in this area over the last couple days.  Mostly wind effected snow surface in most areas with some minor cracking and isolated collapsing in the most wind loaded terrrain.  There is around 60cm of snow on top of the prominent rain crust, within that there is a large density change from the more dense snow and high winds from Sunday/Monday storms.  The cracking and collapsing was from this recent storm snow density change.  The 12/2 facet layer is present and showing failure on some snow stability tests.  Most of my stability tests were not consistent or repeatable but some did show that propagation could be possible on the 12/2 facet layer.  Good visibility and views today, no avalanche activity observed in this area.
