More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Wind slabs and skier triggered cracking were widespread in wind loaded below treeline areas. Slabs were around 14 inches thick and 4F+ hardness. Slabs were failing on a lower density (F hard) layer of storm snow. No obvious persistent crystal type was visible.
