More detailed information about the snowpack:

Generally good travel conditions in Deep Creek with below 7500' having around 1.5m of snow and above 7800' having 2.5-3m of snow on the gound.  The 12/2 facet layer was present at our test pit location at 7910' and was showing propagation was possible with the PST.  The 12/2 rain crust was buried 1.5m down from the surface at snow pit location.  No signs of the 12/12 facet layer at this location.  Below 7500' the 12/2 rain crust was spotty and below 7200' the rain crust could not be found by probing.  We found a very uniform, right side up snowpack above the 12/2 rain crust.

Photo:  Settlement cones around trees indicating the amount of settlement in the snowpack over the last few days.

Video:  PST 60/150 END on the 12/2 faceted layer.  7910', North aspect, 22 degree slope.
