More detailed information about the snowpack: 

2'' of new snow in the Mt. Rose area today.  Well consolidated stable snowpack with no results from stability tests.  Upper snowpack is faceting very slowly and decomposing the near surface crusts on shaded aspects.  Solar aspects were crusty with some minor new snow on top, no softening occuring today at all.

Very light snow in the morning tapering off by mid day.  The sun was visible through the high clouds shortly during the early afternoon.  Winds were consistent in the light range from the SW.
