Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Solar aspects had a firm melt freeze crust that didn't soften much today.  Strong SW winds were also scouring any exposed slopes and ridges.  Up to 1' wind slabs in N-NE aspects very near the ridgelines.  These slabs were soft, showed no signs of instabilities from ski cuts or cornice drops.  The persistent weak layer in this area is present but is not showing that propagation is likely with the propagation saw test-see video.  Travel conditions were good in N-NE aspects.
