More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Checked out the facets in the Tamarack Peak area above 9500'.  Basal facets are 1-1.5mm with a soft slab on top(4F) in the middle of the snowpack and 30cm of near surface facets on the surface-these conditions only existed above 9500' in protected unskied Northerly terrain.  The facets were not reactive in multiple stability tests and is really missing the slab although not a strong base for our snowpack.  Below 9500' there were a variety of supportable and breakable crusts that made for tricky travel.
