More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Mostly crusty conditions exist in this area.  Most shaded aspects are scoured back down to the previous rain crust with very little areas of soft snow present. This rain crust is mostly ski supportive but in some areas is a breakable crust.  Solar aspects have undergone many melt freeze cycles over the last week and were still frozen this morning.  The lack of sun from full cloud cover prevented any softening on solar aspects this morning.

Photo#2:  North face of Ophir Peak.  Snow surface scoured down to old rain crust with very limited soft snow.

Photo#3:  Thin, shiny, rain crust on the snow surface that was mostly ski supportive but not boot supportive.
