Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Cold temps lingering in valley and light winds, on ridge top warmer and higher winds blowing snow West across the summit.  At 1:30 pm well below freezing temps still present in valley floor.  Inversion seems to be sitting in the cold zones of the valley with winds aloft not stirring the air stuck deeper in the canyon.

Snow pack continues to stabilize.  10 to 20 centimeters of light snow on top with growing hoar frost, up to 1 inch in spots.  Crystals are decomposing in sunny locations along ridge top, South ridge of Deep Creek Canyon, but in shade are staying through out the day.  Signs of older slab avalanche in a few locations where terrain produced slides that ran length of slope.  No snow movement while skiing but lots of nice turns through hoar frost.
