Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Air temps warmed today and the south facing aspects of Maggies peak received enough solar input to warm the snow considerably.  East and North slopes remained cold with light snow remaining on the top of a 'right side up' snow pack.  Skiing was good in cooler aspects which kept snow conditions favorable.  Traversing a south exposure at mid day we found wet snow from solar exposure where crystals had rounded and are going to refreeze tonight creating the first crust since the last storm cycle.  Calm winds at altitude and warm sunshine reminded me we are still in Tahoe after the long week of below freezing temps keeping the snow cold and soft.
