More detailed information about the snowpack:

The refreeze became unsupportable by 11:30 in this area today. Wet sticky snow 20 to 30 cm deep existed on aspects facing the north half of the compass after that time and 15 to 20 cm of wet snow existed on the aspects facing the southerly half of the compass where snow still exists. Many of the SE-S-SW aspects now only have patchy snow cover. Ski cuts on north facing steep slopes triggered some minor wet snow sluffs that did not entrain very much snow.

Photo 1: Wet snow deeper than my boot tops on a N aspect at the coordinates attached to this observation.

Photo 2: Less deep wet snow on a southerly aspect at 8000 ft.

Photo 3: Patchy snow cover on a SE aspect at 7800 ft.
