Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Photo 1: Wet surface snow in this S aspect gully at 8,280' with parabolic reflection and heat sinks (rocks) was limited to 1 cm at 11:30 am. The melting snow surface was very supportable due to the presence of the underlying rain crust in this area.

Photo 2: Informal observations on the N aspect along the ridge at the top of the gully in photo 1 indicated stable wind slabs up to 1 foot thick below small cornice features.
